Single Cam
You may just require a small crew. Perhaps you are looking to record a small event such as a launch. In this case, a single operator might be sufficient along with a sound kit to capture the occasion.
Multi Cam/Crew
You might have a bigger event in mind. Perhaps this is a concert, a web video or advertisement. The event might require two cameras or more. There could be a larger sound crew and some specialised kit. The sky in this case is not necessarily the limit!
Extras
Some types of specialised equipment can really enhance an occasion- perhaps you would like sweeping shots from a camera that can go from the ground to high in the air in seconds (jib kit). Perhaps you want smooth shots over uneven ground (Steadicam). Perhaps you want an aerial photograph or video footage (*drone) for your event.
(*some drone shots may not be possible for example we can't shoot near aerodromes, over crowds etc).
